The Grainry

The trees reach out their branches toward The Grainry.

They desire to know what secret thing lives in those dark places,

that makes that sound.

They say that curiosity killed the cat,

I wonder about trees.

Fences

Good fences make good neighbors,
so they say.
I wonder what bad fences make?
so they say...

Blue Tent in the Distance

When we were young we did not notice
the Blue Tent in the distance.

We were so full of life
we hardly gave it a thought.

Now the Blue Tent seems so much closer.

Sometimes, too close.

The Tree exhausted its life striving to grasp
the clouds above, but they were too high
and the tug of the earth was too strong.
And in the end
The Tree came down quietly...all alone
